One of the oldest pieces of enamel that have been discovered was found in 1952 in Cyprus at the Kouklia site. They were copper rings that have a cloisonnéé enamel coating. They date back to the 14th century BC, and have probably been made by exiled Mycenaean craftsmen, who knew this technique. Ornate cross with the representation of the crucified Christ and bears touches of enamel from the Pala D’oro collection and the signature of Dimitrios Exclusive.
